S.F. Bay Area Service?

I'm transitioning to ownership mode. I just ordered my Zaino products and of course my Zaino-approved towels. :D My car is now full of Shell V-Power.

Next question: what's the best dealer in the S.F. Bay Area (preferably close to San Jose) to take my 8 for service?

Putnam off 92 has one of the better reps. I've been happy with Oaktree as well.

they don't have a sunnyvale mazda anymore right? Ivan did some work on my car too but he's no longer affiliated with mazda. I like almaden mazda personally, very nice people.

Here's an interesting data point: I went to a dealership to get the following done:
1. 25k mile oil change (free maintenance)
2. Broken heater **** (warranty item)
3. Change tranny fluid (customer request)
4. Change rear diff fluid (customer request)
5. Install stainless steel clutch line (customer request)
6. Loosen front rotor screws (customer request)

All that may take the dealer two days. Because #2 was a warranty item, I got a free loaner for however long it takes to get everything done. Pretty neat way to work the system.

I took my 8 into Oaktree where I bought it for a 9K oil change and rotate the tires. When I picked it up they had put 10 miles on it. I didn't think anything of it until I got home and talked to my neighbor. He's a service manager at another Japanese dealer, not a Mazda. He said for what I had done, no more than 3-4 miles should have been showing. My next visit to Oaktree will be as a test. Maybe I'll install a camera...hum....

Why would they need to drive it even 3 or 4 miles following a tire rotation? What are they testing that takes such a long drive?
