Whats up everyone. I know there are a few posts about window tints but i need to see pictures. If i am going to get my windows done i need to know if it is going to look good. So i was wondering if anyone would post some pictures of their
RX-8 and the percentage of tint they got on all their windows.

I got 20% tints in the rear 3 and 50% in the front 2

What state are you in? Different laws apply.
I've got Charcoal 32% on mine.

 

I live in georgia. i'm not sure what the law is here but i have a silver RX-8. So if i see something i like i will get as close 2 it as possable. Probably go as dark as i can.

 

Right now I believe Georgia's law is up the air a bit. They dropped the law alltogether due to a court case. The law is being reworked and will be reinstated soon. It'll be just like ours here mostlikely. Which means 32% all the way around. Good possibility of it being 32 on fronts and whatever you want on the rest. Where in Georgia are you? I've got some shops I could recommend to you depending on your location. I used to live in Savannah.

Nice... I actually live in Athens Georgia. I am kinda new to the forum so eventually i will get around to doing my profile. If you are familiar with Athens there are a couple of places on the atlanta highway i will go get an estimate from as soon as this damn hurricane is over with and a new one comes back in.

 

Oh also. I was wondering what the average price is for tinting on all 5 windows. I have seen somewhere between $150 and $200 floating around somewhere but that seems a little cheap. Hell maybe that is expensive. I have no idea how much it costs. However I do not want any bubbles, lines, or any of that crap so if i have to dish out the extra cash i am willing if it is going to last me.

 

Sounds about average. Every city differs. My retail price is $169.00. But since I own one.....I give everyone a deal. $120.00 Just so I know they are coming to me rather than going to some other shop. Plus....they are easy cars to tint. I've got a couple buddies in Atlanta if you would like a referral.

 

Most areas tint costs $120 - 200 range.

This was my first car that I've gotten tinted, and my major conserns were the same as yours, but also tint fade (turning purple) was something I didn't want.

SolarGuard's HP true grey 18% tint fit what I wanted, and let my navigation system function.

 

i have my sunlight silver with limo tint all around. illegal, but looks very very good
plus,not too many cops will ever rail you for it. ive had cops pull up next to me and not say anything. i would post some pics, but im at work, working hard.

 

I just had mine done on Sat. and did 20% in the rear and 35% on the sides. I would have gone a little darker on the sides but that is the legal limit here in MA. I'm very happy with the results.
