Unplanned cruise on Saturday night
I had a great experience on Saturday night that I have to share with everyone.
I was driving home to North Orange County from Laguna Beach and right at about the 5 fwy and Jamboree, I could see really bright headlights from behind getting closer. Soon, the headlights were right next to me, pulling up slowly. I knew the dude wanted to say hi. As soon as I could see the front fender, I knew the car was a silver 3rd gen RX-7. As they pulled up along side, both the driver and passenger waved to me, I waved back and they kept going.
As soon as they passed, I could hear a really loud car behind them. As it pulled up, I could see it was a white 2nd gen RX-7. Again, the driver waved and I waved back. As soon as he passed, I pulled behind him. I was stoked that I had just been passed by 2 different generations of rotary power! I HAD TO FOLLOW THEM, thus started the cruise!
The three of use ended up cruising from Jamboree all the way up to the 57 fwy and Lambert Rd. where I had to make my exit. Changing lanes around one another, swapping for the lead. It was really cool!
It was awesome to cruise 3 generations of Mazda rotaries! The 2nd gen had no cat so everytime he let off the gas he'd throw a fireball out his exhaust! IT WAS AWESOME!
I know I'm a nerd, but I had to share my excitement!

I was driving up the 5 in Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo, yesterday morning and was passed by a Tit Grey '8. The passenger dude gave me the thumbs up, I gave him the peace sign, then I got off the freeway @ Oso.
