If you haven't been on eBay lately, there's a lambo conversion kit available. I'm not the seller mind you. I'm just passing the info along.

i dunno, if i were to go lambo doors, I'd rather merge both doors into 1, and make that door really long. It makes is more nicer, I think.

the lambo doors make it almost impossible to get in and out of the RX8. they weren't meant for this type of car.

i'd rather have shaved door handles... anyone have ne info on that? how much?

 

would shaved door handles work on our car since they are suicide doors.

 

shaved handles work ... lambo doors .. stay away , the fenders get in the way when the doors go up. Probably have to roll them , or make them go at an angle that is VERY hard to get out .... don't ask how I know 8P

 

do not shave your door handles on your car!! unless its a show car...if you are going to use actuators to pop the doors, sooner or later they will burn out..trust me...i went through 3 sets of door poppers...

 

I'll second that... also, if you install them... INSTALL THEM YOURSELF!!!! You just might get some numnut that doesn't wire the doors on completely different circuits, and if that happens and one burns out... mwa ha ha ha no will find yourself climbing in through the sunroof or the trunk (I left my sunroof open just enough to get a piece or rebar in and push the open sunroof button enough to get it open and climb in).

I was actually thinking about doing doors that are like on the 787B, Maclaren F1, and Saleen S7. Butterfly I think the style is called.

Getting in and out was of concern to me also. So no go ont he RX-8 then, huh? Good to know.

 

With butterfly door it won't be easy to find a good parking place,cause you need a lot of space to open the door all way up without hiiting any other parked cars....I think lambo doors are only 4 2doors cars...Rx-8 is a unique car and with the front doors going up and the back doors going "away" i dodn't think it would look like...Only 4 a sports magazine...But thanks 4 sharing the info
