Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has heard a "water running" type noise coming from somewhere within the dash or engine bay when starting their car?
the sound is like water running/pouring down the windscreen. It usually happens when the car is cold or has been turned off after driving for at least 20 minutes or so.
Please give me some info or thoughts.

search for sloshing or gurgling. its air in the coolant lines.

 

is that noise normal?
or do i ask my dealership to fix it?

Has anyone heard a noise when you are, say, backing out of your garage or backing up a "clunk" type noise? I hear this everytime when I first crank the car in the morning, when I'm backing out of the garage.

Yoda, it's the ABS brakes doing a self test.....does it once per drive at first takeoff. Happens at about 4/5mph....

I've had this type of noise on first startup in many cars with aircon... I have always believed it to be the A/C coolant starting to circulate...
