I just got my RX-8, before the test drive the low tore pressure light was on. During car prep they put air in the tires, no light when I drove off the lot.

12 hours later (car sitting in my garage) light comes on when I start it up.

All four tires are down to 22psi. Has anyone else experienced this?

I remember my 02' S2000 was like this, never really went away.

At first I thought nail, loose valve stem but since it was all four tires...

 

Maybe they checked/adjusted the pressure at the dealer when the tires were warm, so now they are underpressure since they cooled down.

When the tires are cold, take them all up to 32psi and if they all go down again then there's something amiss going on (like leaky valves or something)

Given that it's all of them, more than likely the dealer adjusted the pressure when they were hot...

 

Mmmmmm, was there a 100 degree temperature difference to explain the tires being filled to 32 PSI hot, then reading 22 PSI cold in your garage ....... ????

Whatever problem your 02' S2000 with it's tire pressure, you should not have the same with the RX-8 :D.

So how do you like it compared to the S2000 so far?

S2000 is similar, tranny is just as smooth and engine loves to rev. RX-8 is a lot quieter then the buzz of the S2000. Nice to have a roof over my head and a backseat. Handling is about the same too, it is eaiser to get the S2000's rear to break loose. Inerior of the RX-8 is much nicer, you can hear the stereo and have more then on drink

 

Nice to hear you like your 8 and don't seem to miss anything about the S2000. I've never driven one, but they seem pretty nice.

Have you tried breaking the rear end loose with TCS off (press the DSC button to turn it off - assuming your car has DSC/TCS)?.

So what's up with the tires? TPMS light still coming on?
