Well, I was saying how my driver side headlight seemed brighter than the other. We took it out for a drive and while looking back on the rx8, it seemed like the lights were shorting out and going into the brights. Took it to the dealership and explained again what was happening (I had taken it in before and they said they were fine). They checked it out and blamed a bad filament in the bulb as the problem, ordered the bulb, and installed it two days later. The time came to check it again and its still the same problem so I took it back. They took out the rx8 and the guy pointed out that it was normal what was happening. He took out another one and no problem what so ever with them while driving. So right now, my 8 is sitting at the dealership and I have a crappy ol dealer 8 loaned to me.

 

I'd be surprised if there is any car problem that some mechanic, somewhere, will say "Yeah. That's normal".

"I got flames shooting out of my A/C vents"
"Yeah, that's normal"

"I get a 1000 volt shock when I turn on the radio"
"Yeah, they all do that"

"I noticed my left front wheel is missing"
"Absolutely normal. This car's mean to be driven on 3 wheels"

 

hey but you got an 8 as a loaner. thats sweet! most dealerships have loaner/rental agreements with enterprise and you end up stuck with some crap you would never want to drive ever if it was your choice.

 

hey wait why dont they just take the headlight out of the loaner you're driving and put it in your car? then they'd be done with you already!

 

lol, thats a good idea. I think it might be the dampening device in the auto level going bad.
