Just Picked Up My New Rx-8!!!

I picked up my '04 RX-8 (GT 6-speed, red) this afternoon. It had 24 miles on it when I left the parking lot.

I know very little about this car - beyond the typical research, shopping, reading R&T, Motor Trend, etc.... So I'm counting on you guys to get me informed! I lurked here a bit before I bought the car - you guys know your $&@%.

First question... Most cars have a "break-in" period - but that's usually for the rings to seat, etc. But... there are no rings! What's the scoop on this one? Should I baby the car for a while?

Thanks!

Congratulations, and welcome . Personally, I would follow what the factory specifications for proper break-in. I hope you find the information you're looking for here .

I think you'll have the bug problem everywhere but in the northern part of the 48. Feels like a pterodactyl hits my windshield at least 30 times a day in the 7. Think all the genetically modified crops are creating super huge and juicy bugs. I'm on my 3rd can of bug and tar remover this summer.
