I was going through my owner’s book last night just to check it out and on one of the pages Mazda covered something up with a cut out piece of paper explaining how to start the engine if it gets flooded. Has any one else noticed this. I will post a pic of the cut out later!

 

Is it possible the new M-flash has eliminated the "Emergency Start Procedure?"

 

Don't know, I checked my RX8's VIN on the Mazda Website and there are no recalls. But this part of the book was glued in! it's just weird because this RX8 is a newer one Dunlop's on it. So I would guess that it wouldn't have the earlier recalls on it. But here is the first pic....................................

 

this was reported as far back as last august! basically there was some error on the original page so mazda pasted the updated page over the incorrect info.

 

Yea, I got the same thing, bought my car July 4th, build date 9/03 (doesn't matter, manuals come in separately anyway). Didn't look like anything was under the paper, it's just that they posted a procedure on a blank page.
