HELP ... Oil Change Cost ...

Hi,

I need to get my first oil change this w/end before a trip to Montreal ... I just booked an appt and was told it would be $51 .....

I thought I heard there was a standard rate that was a lot lower ... but I may be mistaken. If you've had an oil change in the GTA pls advise what you paid and where .....

Pete, where did you get oil change for $30?

I went in for the 8 month service. Avante Toronto wanted $7x.xx from me, before taxes!!! Talk about stealing from the poor.

Then I told him I have 3 years free service.

That price scared the dickens out of me.

EDIT: Hobbes, I saw your post right after I posted my message. I went in saying I need to do the 8 month service, instead of saying I need an oil change. Is there a difference?
