Thats some scarry stuff! One of the guys I carpool w/ dosen't believe in using a seatbelt.

Probally end up like this guy.

 

Ouch, I've fallen asleep at the wheel back in my college days and I ended up destroying a mailbox. The scary part is the owner said he was just outside with his little girl playing in the front yard less than 5 minutes before it happened.
Always pulled over for a nap since, and ALWAYS wear a seatbelt.

Pretty sure thats a no .. look at the way his head is out the window .. and the car landed on that side ... that means his head = squished ...

 

i wonder why he had a camera posted in his car... ...was he predicting his own death?

i have fallen asleep at the wheel like twice in 3 years of driving. not really fall asleep but not aware of whats happening around me. I almost 80% have my seat belt on, but after watching that i will have it on all the time.

You know what i hate when you are up and aware but you end up somewhere like at the mall or a store, and you forgot the whole drive there.

 

If I remember correctly , that was a shipping van or something for DHL or FED ex or something .. and insurance REQUIRES cameras in the cars at all times so they don't get gipped ...

 

I've seen that mpeg before...it's a hoax. What actually happened was static cling.

 

omg that sucks. static cling? must have been a lot of static to hold him up because he's pretty big. and if u were in that situation wouldnt u put your other hand on the wheel to get better control?

 

Why did he look at the camera right before the "accident".

Looks like that video came from a DriveCam. Some of their systems have a "rear view" camera which shows what's happening inside the vehicle in addition to the forward-facing camera that shows what's going on outside.

 

I have developed such a habit of putting on my seatbelt that even if I am in a parking lot, going from one store to another in the same complex, I still put my seatbelt on!
