Mr. Clean on the RX-8?

Has anyone used the Mr. Clean spray cleaning system? It appears it would save time and effort, but I wonder if it will harm the wax. Thoughts?

harmful on wax (not quite dawn but use something else please!)...forget it...use Meguiars NXT tech wash in the Mr. Clean unit instead of the Mr. Clean solution...then go to town...but definitely use a 100% cotton mitt when washing

Sounds like a great idea! I'm already using the NXT wax on the paint, so I'll go to AutoZone and pickup the NXT Tech Wash. Thanks for your input!

Exactly. You may want to dilute the car wash 50/50 though. I know that Z7 is highly concentrated and you would just be wasting it.

I'm using the Mr. Clean system to wash my 8 and after seven washes it has yet to remove my wax. Guess it depends on what wax you use? I'm using Zymol Japon.
I do spray the wash in a bucket and dilute it some since I have soft water and don't need all the suds you get from spraying the soap directly on the car.

Mr. Clean works as advertized, though it's not perfect. It's easy to miss an area with soap and you could get some spotting. But overall it does a good job, especially for lazy people like me or those too busy to Zaino.

If you like a "good enough" clean car with minimum effort Mr. Clean is for you. If you are a perfectionist looking for an absolutely spotless car, you won't be happy.
