Unhappy Flashes-can you get them flashbacked??Low end power loss...

I got the "M" flash about a month ago. My low end power sucks. I have an AT. It seems as though from a complete stop, if I floor it, it seems to take 8-10 seconds to reach 60...In an AT RX-8 how fast should I be able to do 0-60?Does anyone else have this low end power loss? Can I go back to the "L" Flash-more low end power? Or could something be wrong? I did have my AC on and it was HOT out. Could this have an effect on its performance??

Only way to flash back is to blank the PCM and reprogram with the as-built data provided by Mazda. Not many technicians know how to blank a PCM, although I'm sure many have managed it without trying. The dealer would have to blank their WDS and load it with an older software version too (I think, I'm pretty sure).

Call your dealer and start negotiating.

I think some automatic owners have estimated that their autos take 8+ seconds to get to 60. it's that darn auto tranny matched to a rotary that's the problem.

Re-ghosting the WDS might do the trick. The Dealer would have to reinstall his A-6 application disc then load a disc older than the 30.0 THEN load the C-2 calibration disc.

Each disc has language and license agreement prompts at the strangest intervals so walking away is not an option.

Btw this is about 6 hours of disc loading after which the WDS would need to be re-ghosted AGAIN to get it back to 32.4.

I did notice a pwer jump from Stock ECU to "L". For the owners that have had the "M" flash done the peakynesshas been smoothed between the 3500-6000 Rpm range. because of this I haven't had the "M" done yet.
With the AC. outdoor temp @ 105+ and 30% relitave humidity and a stopwatch. 0-60 in 6 sec. Shift @ 7000 rpm. Flat road.
