Talking Tallest 8 driver?

Just curious to see who is the tallest 8 driver on this forum. I'm 6' 1'' with the moonroof and feel *comfortable* driving but sometimes my hair brushes the moonroof. If I decline the seat more, it's quite a reach for the steering wheel, since it doesn't telescope

A friend of mine is 6' 4'' and had a fun time driving my 8 but said it would be rough having to drive it every day

I am 6'3 and I don't have the sunroof for that reason. Had I opted for GT trim, I might not be able to sit comfortably.

I'm 6'1" and have the same hair-brushing experience. I've only had the car 2 days so I'm still working on the finding the best seat position. I have the touring package so I do have the sunroof.

Hey Hey Hey, I am 6'5" and i love my 8 with every part of my heart. The only chore is getting in and out, but once i am in i this that it is way more comfortable the even some luxury sedans. I gues it the way that the seat are designed in the way that they hold you in soo well. but I, as you friend, have long legs. A plausable explination to my comfort in the 8

Guys over 6'1" in the Touring or GT package are best advised not use too much "product" in their hair. You'll ruin the roof, cause it's gonna touch.

I'm just 6' but I have short legs. I have the GT package and my hair brushes occasionally, but it is in no way uncomfortable.

6'4 w/ a moonroof and I have about a 1/2 inch of room between my head and the ceiling. It is a tight fit for sure but well worth it.

Also, being tall I am sure all of you have large feet, my size 13's are a little bit of a hassle at times. If I have my nice dress shoes on that are bigger than the average shoe it is a delicate little dance happening under the wheel.

What about another thread,"who is the fattest RX-8 driver"? then "who is the skinniest" then "who is the shortest" and for our hip hop friends what about "who is the phatest?"

Any of you have a helmet on and try out in a racing position yet? I am 6'0.5" (184cm) and just able to make it with some rubbing to the top part of my helmet. I don't have a sun roof.

I'm 6'3" and have to tilt my head to the side so my helmet is in the cutout for the moonroof. I had to do this in my 2nd gen RX-7 also, so I'm used to it.

yeah at 6'1" i have the hair brushing experience too, so if i ever race i may have to adjust to fit a helmet. I find that the car suits itself to having long legs. This is the first car where i've been able to push the chair all the way back to a comfortable position for my legs and also have a good stering wheel position.

I'm 6'2", and it's going to take me awhile to get used to the "head-tilt" when I'm wearing a helmet. I have the sunroof. Tried adjusting the seat to compensate, but I like to sit tight and close on the track, so no go. Sans helmet is no problem at all. I have no hair, so no brushing on the roof. :p

Well worth the slight sacrifice. One of the best bone-stock road track cars I've ever drvien!

I am 6'4" & 220 lbs. and have no problem at all, even on the three long trips I have taken in 7 months. I do have the seat slightly tilted back and the moon roof. Actually that is my normal driving position, even in my wife's Dodge Intrepid.

I'm 6'5" I have the moonroof, I found that leaning the seat back further solved that problem. My legs are a little cramped but not uncomfortably.

I'm 6'6" and have no problem once in the car (no sunroof), but I have bumped my head a couple of times getting in and out.

I heard Yao Ming owns an RX-8, so that makes it 7'6" or something as the tallest.

ok... the thing is, my upper body is fairly large and muscular for my height but I have shorter legs so, some cars aren't well suited for me. I've driven some mazda protege, honda civic and a few suzukis and they were all perfect for me, so I hope it won't cause any problem. I'll test drive it tomorrow so I'll know.
