They're a good basic coilover, they do tend to ride a bit harsh w/ the high spring rates. If you have the money, I would get the Tein Flex which allows for damping adjustment.

I'm starting to like Tein's dampers. I especially like the EDFC, because you can adjust your suspension from the inside. No spanner wrenches for me . Broaden your options a little bit, because a coilover suspension might be too much. I'm waiting for more aftermarket shock companies i.e. GAB, KYB, Koni, Ohlins, etc to come out with RX-8 specific applications. Give it some time and don't jump in to fast, because you might wind up with something you won't like.

Just to clear things up, Tein's EDFC controls damping force only. You still need the wrenches if you want to adjust the ride height.

All I know about Tein is, the springs and lower priced stuff isn't very good. The higher priced stuff, starting with the Basic Damper Coil-over setup, is top notch stuff. They also have good customer support. I can't say that for another big-name(and dollar) company.

Hey.. did anyone purchase the Tein Basic unit? If so.. how do you like it?

It looks like even a few months later the only unts out there are HKS, Tein and JIC as far as suspension goes...

Possibly Koni as they were at Seven Stock...
