Bestmotoring.jp New RX-8 Races

I wen't to the BestMotoring.jp website I checked out a section
called back number which has previous issues and
it seems there are a few videos of the RX-8 racing that I have not
seen before. One is in the rain against 4 doors sedans
the G35 and the TSX and the other is the Mazdaspeed RX-8
against the Nismo-Z and some other cars. Has anyone seen any of these? Does anyone know the result???

Man, I really want to see this outcome. Bestmotoring has some of the coolest races. Some a bit controversial, Japanese Propaganda
as some would say. But its cool none the less.

Seen it and don't get disapointed

On track Starting Grid:
1. Renault Clio Sport V6 (MR)
2. Mazdaspeed RX8
3. Lotus Elise 111R
4. Nismo Z S-Tune GT
5. Honda Integra Type-R
6. BMW M3 CSL
7. Lancer EVO VIII MR

Track condition was wet at 7.8 Degree Celcius

Finish Grid:
1. BMW M3 CSL
2. Lancer EVO VIII MR
3. Nismo Z S-Tune GT (Overtaken by EVO on second last corner lap)
4. Lotus Elise 111R
5. Renault Clio sport V6 (MR)
6. Mazdaspeed RX8
7. Honda Integra Type-R

They do a Review on Mazdaspeed RX8 and i think it's hopeless.
They compare with Stock RX8.
0-100 kmh = MazdaSpeed RX8 faster by 0.100 sec
0-400 m = Stock RX8 faster by 0.100 sec

There you go

Cheers

don't be disappointed. that's not surprising at all

first of all, of course the m3 csl and evo viii mr would win. those are the super fast versions of really really fast cars. the mr is arguably the fastest car out of japan to date. the elise 111r is the same thing as the us-spec elise, excellent power-to-weight ratio, weighing ~1900 pounds and is powered by 190hp celica engine. that those three would beat the ms rx-8 is a given

and that particular nismo z is no usual nismo z. it's a new type loosely based on the jgtc race car. its engine is tweaked to ~300hp, it's been heavily modified, long nose and long tail w/ various aero parts, and it costs ~$65k (!). it's nismo's all-out effort to tune the z, its flagship (or desperate attempt, depending on your point of view :p)

and that renault, while i think it's a p.o.s. :p it's essentially like this: take a geo metro, strip off weight, convert it to mid-engine rwd, drop in a race-tuned v6, of course it'd be fast

the ms rx-8 is the same a-spec from before, w/ stock engine and only chassis components and the exhaust, so given the opponents it probably still did quite respectably. at least it didn't fall behind the integra :D and why is it slower than stock? 'cuz it has no engine tweaks (yet) and it's heavier, mostly due to the body kit and the wing

RX-8 5'55"22

Elise 111R 1'07"73

hahah the kit is not that much heavier...not enough to effect lap times..

i actually haven't seen this video yet =P

i got the info and times off their website. they usually post battle results.

yeah check ebay. there's one selling for 25 bucks right now, here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting
but it's a region 2 dvd, which i think would only play on your computer. be careful tho 'cuz i think most dvd programs only lets you chage region settings a set # of times

you can download it here

http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/download.php

after install just click on any file you want to download.

Torrent is like sharing files with others, therefore after you finish leave the Torrent open as long as possible so people can share it. The more people share the more it faster for download.

Cheers
