Yup, although it was a quite a few years ago. I did a bunch of Pocono and Lime Rock event with 'em.

I never did a "school" exactly, it was just track time. They ran short on instructors at my very first event ever, but because I "had autox experience," they let me out without one.

First lesson: It ain't NOTHING like autox, lol...

But overall, they were professional, and the events went smoothly. Ambulance on site, good communications, etc.

I went to a jointly run event (PDA & NASA) at Pocono last summer. They did a good job of keeping the day on schedule and made sure that you got the most out of your track time. The people I met that day only had good things to say about PDA.

I can't tell you how good PDA is up north, but as an instructor with NASA/PDA and BMWCCA I can tell you without any reservations that taking a High Performance Drivers Education School is the best way to learn about your driving abilities and your car. Don't spend a lot of money on mods but do spend it for seat time. I have been doing this for over 20 years with PCA, BMWCCA, NASA and other groups and the only downside is you may become hooked to the point that you turn your 8 or someother car into a full blown race car. I did that twice - one being a show 57 356A Porsche Speedster and the other a 97 M3.

Send that check and go with an attitude to learn and listen. Also if you do go, please learn to heel and toe downshift first.

I've done a couple, one at Pocono and one at Lime Rock. The events were run very well and they were accomodating to all skill levels. Your experience will depend a lot on the individual instructor in the car, but I can say mine were quite good.

Oooo, I still have nightmares about the Diving Turn, lol...

We had JUST arrived for the first time at the park, and I was trying to convince my wife for the billioneth time that I wasn't going to kill myself... and one of the guys testing out the track during setup in a 911 lost it at the bottom of that corner and went into the tires.

He was fine. Car... not so much

The cool part though is it has HILLS!!!! (unlike Pocono).
