Ok, its 2 O clock in the morning and I just got back from a drive. I driove to walmart, took the long way home, and even drove around some backroads for awhile. This car is so seriously addicting. As some of you have probably read, I just got this car yesterday, and I am constantly thinking about it. The car is without a shadow of a doubt, AMAZING. Now onto the owners manual...

I would have to agree. I cannot stay out of mine. I find myself going for drives daily. I have re-learned my way around town, taking side streets as I see them to see where they lead. I find excuses to leave the house, even volunteering to go on errands for friends.

The poor mpg has not stopped me. The rising (and now somewhat falling) gas prices have not stopped me. I have had the car for only six weeks and have put ~4800 miles on it.

I'm glad to see that I am not the only one.

I can't stay out of mine, and I can't stop from taking the RPMs to 9000 on every shift.

 

I normally drive a company vehicle everyday... but I kind of got myself involved in a number of work-related activities that require me to drive long distances from home. Normally, I'd be required to drive the company truck to these things. Which isn't so bad given that they pay for the fuel, wear and tear, etc. But, I'm actually blessed with a very understanding boss, who allows me to opt for either my 8 or the truck on the condition that I don't have to run an "errand", (pick up supplies) from another location that I might be visiting, or passing through. Needless to say, I look forward to those rare times when I get to take my baby out on the open road, during the week, and live for an hour or two.
Yes, I too am completely addicted to this car - 7800 smile-filled miles and counting. :D

 

I can't wait to be that addicted to it...when I first drove this car as a test drive, I actually felt like I was a part of the car. I never felt that way about any of the cars I've owned.

 

I keep trying to think of things I can run out and get. I find myself at home and wondering if there is anything at the grocery store I might need. I've been going out and getting things I don't need, just to have the chance to drive around. I never did that before.

I LOVE this car! My wife is so understanding and patient with me!

 

I just got to thinking : Rehab from the 8 would really be a terrible place to be.

They'd put you in a 3-banger Metro and make you drive around at 35 mph.

 

The only clinically effective rehab procedure is to wire electrodes to the driver which are connected to rev buzzer. Every time you hit 8500 RPM you get zapped.

 

Hehehe, this car should come with a surgeon general's warning. May cause owner to become addicted. LoL. I have around 300 miles and have redlined it 3 times. I know I am not supposed to, and I wont take it over 6000 anymore now till I reach 600 miles. I just had to hear that buzzer...

 

I am obsessed with the car! I'm either driving it or thinking about driving it.
