San Antonio Water minerals and Washing

For folks in SA and other parts of TX with high levels of limestone in the water. Do you do or use anything special to deal with the water, or do you find your normal drying methods sufficient?

Last time I washed (just moved here), a couple of latent water drips left some nasty spots. Tonight I tested the Mr. Clean AutoDry on my wife's car. It seemed to work really well. I washed my car as normal with Zaino, but then used the Mr.Clean as a final rinse. I used a cotton towel to push some of the larger pools of water off the car, but left the car mostly wet. It has almost completely dried, and in the dingy light of my garage, it looks great.

I'm a big fan of the Mr. Clean AutoDry car wash. Without it I was rushing around like mad trying to get the car dry using a synthetic chamois. Given the high limestone content it's about the only thing I can do. I've considered the California Water Blade but I think I'd be suffereing the same rush that the synthetic chamois has me doing.

I haven't had any problems w/ my chamois. Many times, I polish/wax my car afterwards, so that's probably helping as well.

I wash mine late in the evening, after the car has cooled and the air is cooling. I start around sundown and you've got 30-45 minutes (this time of year...easily) to get it washed. I spray the whole car down often while washing and once right before I get ready to dry. I find that if I've done a good job of washing, most water runs off in 10 minutes or so then I finish up with a synthetic chamois.
