Install of rear aero flares

Hi all:

Has anyone installed a set of rear aero flares on their 8 yet? I was reading the instructions tonite and saw that it "requires" the removal of the rear bumper skin for installation? This can't be. I'm not taking my rear bumper skin off just to install these things. Anyone have an easier way of installation?

Mazda has placed the template for drilling the holes in the bumper skin on the inside and it is the only way to make sure you drill in the correct place. It is really not too difficult if you follow the instructions. The worse part for me was getting the bottom clips out. Make sure you take care doing this because they have to be used again.

I didnt remove my bumper to install it, and they went on just fine.

I did it last year, so it's a little hard to remember. I do remember that I eyed it a lot, and looked under the car when needed. But I really saw no reason to necessitate bumper removal.
