Cool Factory Option pictures (JP)

Looks like the RX-8 "Shop Options" brochure is already out in Japan. Probably won't have much luck finding one around here, but luckily Mag-X (March 2003) printed some selections from it.

Nice bodykit.
The red RX-8 looks a little like an BMW 3-series with that :D

Does it look like a theres a lighted shifter to anyone else, or am i going crazy?

What are the chances of those mods being available here in the states?

I'd be surprised if much of that makes it over here as Genuine Mazda Accessories. MNAO hasn't shown much desire in the past to carry a large range of gewgaws and add-ons.

If Mazda doesn't import these pieces then you can have them brought in by www.corksport.com who specializes in Mazda pieces from Japan. If certain doo-dads prove popular they will even stock them. I have feeling that you will see them stock the engine start button that so many people are enamored over.

The engine start button is a must-have (although quite pointless) and the lit-up gear **** is interesting but the shoe-rack for the trunk tops them all.

Isn't all the illumination in the RX-8 Red? If so, it would seem that you would want red on the shifter too... otherwise, it would really stand out. Unless that is what you want, i guess..

That body kit looks great! It fixes the one thing I don't like about the exterior styling of the 8: how the bottom of the front end appears to curve upwards away from the fenders because the front lip is black. I've always thought that this looked somewhat goofy.

Maybe it'd be cheaper if I just painted the lip body-color. Any photoshoppers???

yeah it would stand out. Just think you got red interior, and all of a sudden you see a blue in the middle. That wouldn't seem write. Now if you were going to customize your seats like in your garage and make blue seats, then the blue light would do.

Question Is that optional spare we get?

I was wondering if that's the optional spare tire that might be offered here? Look like it takes up half the trunk space

It would be interesting to get this brochure translated by someone who is fluent in japaneese. Just to know what all that nice text is about :D
