Who is up for a Rotorfest caravan in the NJ area?

Since the Philadelphia caravan was such a good success, I was thinking maybe we should have another caravan leaving out of Lawrence High School again to Rotorfest. Anyone game?

Yes, we'll probably try to organize such a caravan. It might be a good idea to start it from a place a little further north though, because there are several of us that would have to travel south to pick up the caravan to head north again.

Maybe we need to start getting a list of interested folks and their starting points so that we can pinpoint a suitable location.

Well it would be nice to do it like the last caravan, multiple locations along a central route, so whatever location you are closest to you can hop along and not have to backtrack.

Sure - we're open to whatever works for everyone. What area are you coming from?

I'm in Lawrenceville. We started the caravan at the high school on the 23rd, and we got I think 9 cars there.

OK - I'll start keeping a list of people and locations to see where everyone is coming from. If the high school works for the majority, I'd be happy to drive down to join the caravan back north again.

Anyone else interested in the caravan - please post here so we can gel on a location...

I'd be interested if I go. I could pick up the caravan somewhere off of 95N or rt 1 if that works for you guys. Or I'll just get directions to the HS and be there. I will be coming from Philly.

If you just take 95 up to about where it turns to 295, thats where I am at. We took 95 to get down the Philly for the last meet, so i'd guess taking it back up would be the best way to go.

...or, cross the Walt Whitman bridge and take 295 up. That's the way that I went down to FDR.

I know both ways. If I can make the trip I will definitely coordinate with you guys. I'll just need a meeting point off the highway and I will see you.

Ocelot, Senseny, and others...

I was starting to keep a list of everyone that was interested in caravaning up to Rotorfest. Ocelot and Senseny were the only definites.

However, as it turns out, I am not going to be able to make it to the event (I'll be in Virginia). So, I won't be able to help coordinate the caravan. Hopefully you all can coordinate a caravan.

And please, post pictures!

me too maybe for Rotorfest/caravan!
I would probably be one of the earliest en route (I would start out in DE) in the caravan - I could do either 95 or the NJ Tpke. Let me know what the earliest stop ends up being.
Alan - I hope VA turns out to be worth missing Rotorfest!
Can someone confirm if all I am interested in doing is spectatiing, it doesn't matter whether I preregister or not, right?
Sue

Sue I dont think you have to register to be a spectator. Its $20 I believe to enter your car for the competition. I have more info on the event on the club calendar. Not too many are attending ( Tri State Folk ) so I suggest keeping an eye on this forum, and another started by Ocelot.

Our next big meet is July 17th in King of Prussia! Details next week!

I am not sure yet. I have my first roller hockey game of the new season for Sunday mornings. I can't miss that as I am on a different team. I'll try to make the times work out.

Hello everyone, glad to see some RX-8 people planning to make the trip. As far as some of the admission questions go... Spectator admission is $10. advance or at the gate, the price is the same. For people entering their car in the show it's $15 for pre-registration, and you also get a free gift for pre-registering. If you enter your car at the gate the cost is $20. I hope to see you all there!!!

thanks, it looks like it's a bit far (122 miles) from me and it would add over an hour to my trip, so i doubt i'll make it to the caravan...
