plug or patch? is one better than the other? I filled my tire up (it was at 28psi) a week ago, then went on travel for work. Its outside at 24 psi. I'm figuring its probably a pinhole puncture and was wondering if it made a difference where and by what means I got it fixed.

i concur, for whatever reason there is a huge plug bashing thing thing goin gon and le tme tell you over the last say 14 years I have probably plugged a couple dozen tires/times and never had a problem. plug it!

 

Check your valve stems with soapy water sprayed on em. Might be a loose stem or valve.

 

it was a screw in the tire. I took it to shell and they said they wouldn't go near performance tires. Then off to NTB. They charged me $40 for a patch. I think patching is the only way to go from what they said at NTB on these tires. Either way, I'm happy again. Except for my squeeking brakes but don't get me started on that again...

maybe that wasn't clear. the squeeky brakes are not a result of getting the tire fixed. its our beautiful brake pads made out of iron.
