How much did you pay for your 8? (Alberta)

I've never bought a new car before...so any information would be helpful.

I'm seriously considering this car and would like to know how much of a deal (if any) did you get on your 8?
Did the dealer throw anything in for you when you bought it?

Don't expect much of a deal. When I purchased my RX-8 I called as many dealers as I could. I found that Mazda dealers in small towns were a lot more willing to deal than dealers in Edmonton and Calgary. What I would suggest is to call as many dealers as possible and then weigh your options.

hmm..that's not sound all that great.

I've been reading a lot of the other posts about purchasing the 8 from other parts of the world and it seems as though many of the people were about to get something off of the MSRP.

Cool No secret....

Full list. ($39,950) for a GT, no roof or Nav.

Waited a year on JARMAN Mazda's list, then they tried to jack the price another $2400.

Cancelled, and bought in Leduc, nothing thrown in, maybe the first oil change free!

I would not be paying 'full list' for one these days, some dealers have five or six on the lot!

Ditto, full list last July after waiting 5 months.

Out east, some people have managed to negotiate discounts - not huge discounts (like invoice), but lower than MSRP.

In the US, nobody pays MSRP since a month or two after deliveries started. Elsewhere in the world, where supply is still limited (like UK), prices are still very close to MSRP.

Regards,
Gordon

GT with moonroof + the following dealer installed accessories:
spoiler, front air dam, front mud guards, side deflectors, rear underdeflectors, 3M rock guard, and window tinting for $46,000 (including GST). Bought in Edmonton since none of the dealers in Calgary could match it.

Cheers
