Hello everyone!

Semi-new RX-8 owner here, have had mine since May of 2025. (2005 6M/T)

I've been dealing with clunky shifts, and have been looking into replacing my shift collar.
Have not been able to find an OEM replacement, as I work at a Mazda dealership and extensively searched through the parts sites.

Does anyone have advice regarding which route to go down when it comes to the shift collar replacement?

I see a lot of mixed reviews on getting R-Magic and similar shift collar replacements, and was hoping to get some insight on a possible OEM or OE spec shift collar that's available for the S1 transmission.

Any info or feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you examined your current collar? It's not usually necessary to replace it, so your clunkiness might be caused by something else. What exactly is the problem?
