Hi I have noticed in the last month on odd occassions my rx8 2008 radio switches on after i have locked the car. Initially i noticed when i locked my car the red light on the radio screen kept on now in the last two days it has all switched off but then hours later the radio automatically switched on. My key battery died last week replaced battery and AA reprogrammed key to car whats going on I have no money can afford expensive garage cost.

I thought the problem had gone away as in between these few incidents nothing seemed to have happened. But all in last month. Is there if nothing else a fuse I can remove to stop the radio coming on until i can afford the garage to investigate

 

Hi welcome, i would start with replacing your drivers door lock and if that does not fix the problem i would try your ignition switch replacement.
