Welcome to the forum!! Any pictures of your RX-8 to share? How long have you had your car? Are you replacing the engine or doing a complete restoration?

Thanks Mazdaverx7,
I've had my current 2004 Ti-Grey RX8 sport since 2014 which I bought with low compression from a friend. Drove it around a little before parked and removed the bad motor. I am currently purchasing parts to assemble a track worthy vehicle. Basically doing full restoration on the suspension, brakes, and all components that are required for a capable vehicle. Picked up a 2008 motor with 30K miles from a crashed car, have yet to crack the motor open to inspect everything then prepare to send components out for work and/or purchasing new parts.

I have always had a soft spot for the Titanium Gray cars. I've had two of them over the years! That will definitely be a fun car to bring back to life snd run on the track here and there. That 30k mile engine is probably still in great shape with no need to open up. You may be able to refresh it with new gaskets, seals, clean the port tumblers, and replace the o-rings on the injectors be good to go!
