Checking to see if there is any value of selling a used 2005 Mazda RX8?
vehicle only has about 47K on it, but apex seals have made the vehicle no start.
wife loves the car, she babied it, but weighed the issue of fixing it, or buying a new car, time for a new car.

 

depends on the overall condition of the car, what transmission, trim options etc. have do you know it lost compression? it could be a simple fix unless you had a rotary specific compression test showing it needs a rebuild

 

Automatic transmission
full trim package, sun roof, outside of vehicle ok, some dings and scratch's over the years. inside clean
dealer did a compressing test, each cylinder is at around 60 psi, and bottom plugs keep getting soaked with oil.

 

the 2004-05 autos have a 4 port engine (low power) and 4 speed, the 06+ autos got the higher power 6port engine and 6spd. either way its the least desirable rx8 so might be a tough sell. the 4port engine cost more for remans rebuilds too. if its rust free you could probably find a buyer or maybe part it out. what color and what interior?

white water pearl is an awesome color. good luck with it if you sell it. i wouldnt scrap it if i were you. a part out or possibly try selling it here would be my suggestion. wheres it located?

its a desirable color. iirc you need 30 days/10 posts before you can start a for sale thread on this site. fb marketplace is usually another good option
