The torque of the front subframe to the car

Hello my beautiful and lovely people,

I can't ******* find the torque for the bolts on the front subframe. Took it off to remove all rust and put epoxy on it and now I want to mount it again.

What's the torque?

I'm gonna default to 80Nm worst case scenario

So no one knows, great
Only european RX8 rust and need subframe treatment? Or anyone here touches a wrench and gets instant tetanos so they can't do anything themselves and have to use the good ol' garage with the good ol' mechanic pal instead of taking affairs in your own hands?

By the way, very welcoming y'all, I really love that car and that community

Yay, more documentationt to OCR and to control F instead of human being interaction, the real Sonic would be proud of such a helpful hand using 2006 forum technique of "Did you google it first"

Oh yeah for you ******* information I already "fish" the documentation and found nothing, so I was hoping someone would find something I missed

You see? Nothing.

Also one of your link is really restrictive? Either the link is in Google and ask for auth

Or the mirror is just 404

Believe me or not, but I guess you won't, I already searched beforehand and hoped someone would just like, you know, have an experience. An insider thing. We all love the same car, no? We... All work on it, right? I am not alone with a torque wrench?

but yeah treat me like a noob and be super kind to me, wonder why forums are dying these days...

Rear subframe components look like they go between 68.67-96.84 ft lb, probably a safe bet to target the same range for front subframe nuts that are up by the upper control arms. Around the same maybe slightly lower side of that range for the bolts rearward going through the crossmember into the body, but within that range certainly.

Too bad it's wrong....

If you were nicer, maybe I would have helped you more.

Yeah right old timer, like you didn’t welcome me like a ****, also 6 points? There's only 4 bolts connecting the chassis and the subframe
Sonic obsessed weirdo ****... With cult of personality to go with it, liking you already.

What is going on here

User, Sonic has pointed you in the direction of the answer you seek and then shown you the torque specs.
And now you're insulting him? He was trying to help.

Relax man.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming....

You serious? Like the first two messages of the thread were really that funny?
And the misleading info?
This is how welcoming new members should be here?
And this is called helpful, dumping the documentation I already have, like I didn’t know any better?
And I should trust the sonic dude over the serious dude ?

Ban me if this is your peak discussions and the sonic dude is your beloved guy cause holy ****, and if calling someone a **** for being a **** is an insult well that’s too american for me...

Well someone is being a bit of a jerk. I estimated because I couldnt find the page sonic did.

And youre wrong, there are six points. There are the four studs I mentioned, and two of the bolts that go into that front brace pictures are longer than the others and are rated at the same 96.3-115.7 ft lbs as they go all the way through the subframe into the body of the car. That makes six.

I would think very carefully about your next post.
I'm cutting you some slack because you're fairly new but lobbing insults at members is going to get you a ban if you continue.
I get that sarcasm and American humor might be different then what you're used to so just take the advice / correct info, say thank you and move on.

He opened up with a light hearted joke and a bit of information.
you opened up with an insult expecting others to know everything you searched.

This forum has every bit of info you could want on this car, you simply have to read.

Now you can participate respectfully and even toss in a few light hearted jabs yourself and people will help. OR. You can continue your personal attacks and I will ban you.

You choose.

You also got helpful information on your reddit account in r/Rx8.. so if sarcasm isnt your thing maybe stick to reddit. Seems though either youre hot-headded or troll cause you somehow managed a discord ban as well. I can just assume its you as Vodkannelle is a pretty unique username.
There's a Discord server? I haven’t heard of it so no it wasn’t me. The MX5 Discord maybe? I left myself after giving my two cents cause I got the same vibes... Wait you're stalking me? Weird. Wait I changed my username for a while, meaning you checked my Discord unique username? Weird. But you got a Miata too? That is so cool, like these two cars they really go in pair, I love them.

Nah y’all can ban me, I excepted something else from this community... Got my fair share of better get it done yourself than rely on others, I don’t think y’all are offering what I need. I excepted more friendlier stuff since the RX8 is y’know, not very common, hated by the RX7 hardcore fans, and I thought any newbie will be welcomed because we share a common interest, a rare one at that. Even AI is friendlier and optimistic and straight to the point... I wouldn’t have come back here since my first topic was meh but AI got no clue on said torque and proposed RX8Club to me so I thought yeah maybe giving it a second chance...

No I can’t take sarcasm, I am autistic (as in real ADHD), I feel alone with my rotary passion, I'm in the middle of nowhere with no other rotary than apart from another newbie that isn’t even taking care of his RX8 himself and kinda don’t care about it, I'm at my limit, I just want to do the fun part, the mechanic part.

Again I thought the experience would be like on another forum, like on Corsa there's some crazy dudes that has the pinout of the DBW ready on hand lol and they know by heart how the GM CANBUS work it’s just... Another world, granted it’s a more common car but it’s also a shitbox so??? Like they’re all focused and all, straight to the matter at hand. And they know their stuff like my other topic about the weird dent on my plates I still feel sad than no one had an answer on how it happened, got my own theory but yeah... Feel sad too that no one answer it like good job on having new housings and stuff.

Anyway, can’t take your sarcasm, can’t take your inside jokes, I hate y’all, it’s not a troll. I don’t feel like you're sensible, I'm better off you like you're better off me. Go on and do your stuff, other people will enjoy it maybe, not me.
Maybe there's too much testosterone for me here lol as a woman I seek more sensible persons I guess...
Thanks for the help still. And if I break those studs I will just wield the subframe lol

Also we were talking about the wrong thing since the begining? I am not talking about the transverse but the part that has the engine, radiator and everything mounted on.

It’s called a subframe no?

Damn you take yourself so seriously with the dramatic "you choose"
I wanted human interaction not a reminder that I can search

You would attract more ants with honey than vinegar.

You want us to cater to you? when we get hundreds of people like you, who come in attacking us for not spoon feeding?

NO I gave you the exact answer you where looking for TWICE, and one joke answer to break the ice.

You weren't sure on how to read the charts I directed you to and that's fine, follow up with a question or a simple help I still cant find it...... and yes that is the exact part I was talking about, it has four nuts and two bolts that go through the brace bar (#11 in the chart I posted)

good morning user, how else can we help you today? as far as rust is concerned three of us in this thread live in a very rust prone state but none of us drive our 8s in the winter. everyone who posted here has wrenched on more 8s over the years than most non rotary people would ever see/notice in their entire lives. personally i only get specific with tq specs on certain things

as far as your tisim goes maybe pop another addy and down a few shots. i think most rotards are a little on the spectrum

sanik is really under 13, i had to change my # 87 times and move twice due to ricky stalking me and dont listen to that jedi weirdo. that guy still cant build a deathstar after several attempts over the course of ~50yrs
