Playing around with my newly purchased RX-8, I found that this was the ignition setup.
The coils appear to be generic LS coils from Amazon or eBay and they're in rough shape.
In the background there's an older "Bennett Built" coil bracket, and the car seems to run MUCH better on those coils. Although I don't know the history on them either.
I'm probably going to go for the SakeBomb Garage kit with the marine 2-Stroke coils.
The Bennett Built setup is pretty nice. I would consider getting that setup for my Nordic Green RX-8. My Brilliant Black car has the BHR coil set and its been on the car for more than 10 years with zero issues. Seems that whoever owned the car, possibly an enthusiast at one time, was interested in keeping it running well and invested some time and money into a solid reliability mod!
