Help Identifying this Hose in my Engine Bay

Hello everyone

I'm completely new here, I hope I've come to the right place.

I recently bought an RX-8.

I've just noticed a hose that has been capped off with a screw, and I thought, if anyone knows about this, it's you guys in this forum.

Is this normal? Is it supposed to be like this? What is it for?

I've attached a few pictures to show its location.

Best regards and thanks a lot for your help!

not 100% sure but it might be the vac line for the vfad (variable fresh air duct)

I'm concerned that it actually is NOT the VFAD and instead the blue clip fuel vapor line, as I don't see the other end of that hose where it connects to the hard line by the red clipped hose.

Thank you all for your help.

I found a picture of an intake manifold online, and this is exactly the hose I've circled in the image.

However, my hose ends with a screw. Should I remove it? What is this hose for? Where does it lead on your car?

Oh, and by the way, the car is running and driving, which might be a helpful piece of information.

Thats for emissions and fuel vapors from the tank, it runs underneath the car all the way back to emissions components like the charcoal/vapor canister and other parts. I would be worried what happened to that line, and I would look into getting that repaired correctly. Fuel/fuel vapors just out in the open is nothing to play with or take lightly IMO.
