2005 RX8 GPS update HELP i want to remove the GPS tablet and update for a modern one since there is no update for the RX8 2005

The flip up gps display can fit a 7in screen. Assuming you want to put something there. Problem is finding a quality one that fits. Or make your own using the raspi 7in screen using Open Auto.

Otherwise there are kits like the metra kit to install a double din radio.

 

I might be misunderstanding, but wouldn't removing the original gps affect other car functions? I'm a bit worried about messing with the stock setup
