Ignition Coil Choice

Has anyone any experience with BHR or Ryans Rotary coils? Leaning towards Ryans simply on warranty and the mounted heat-sink. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

BHR is a pillar of this community. I had their original kit for 100,000km, and replaced with their newer universal kit. I'm not sure about the exact terms of their warranty but they always take care of their customers.

Bennet built is always difficult to get ahold of (aka ppor communication) and in my experience takes forever to ship items.

BHR hands down. It's a phenomenal kit and Charles customer service is second to no one.

there is no competition IMO.

BHR is good quality. The question is whether PAC is a better option given I think you have to import BHR coils to Australia (I was snooping to see roughly where you were located on the planet). Import duty to Canada is not a happy surprise hence my question. I have no experience with any product from PAC.

Thank you, import duties are not as bad I'm Oz but we get stung with GST on anything ordered overseas and the exchange rate ATM is terrible. I'm in the states in Oct/Nov so may poke around the US market. Thanks for your opinion, much appreciated.

NGK was my choice

The Coils were NGK.... the Plugs NGK.... and the Wires guess what NGK, if its not broke why fix it, runs good, and is fundamentally sound.
Keep in mind that I had to do a reset to the ECU because it was turning off and idling too low when I came to Stops and Signals. I initially figured since the car was negative terminal removed for a week, I thought it auto reset but I guess I was wrong.
It was a good DIY project to get me back under the hood.

BHR new Global coils now for about a year and about 25k miles. No problem other than they seem to need more battery voltage than stock when cranking a cold engine in the winter. 20w-50 doesn't help this, but stockers would not give an initial misfire on one or two strokes on a cold crank. Not a big deal, just an observation. Battery needs to be more stout for me in the winter with these coils. I see it as a good sign, that they likely do fire with more energy than stock.
