'05 Shinka w/Homelink won't work on new garage?
Hey all, if you're still out there with an older Homelink (like me with my '05 Shinka) I have a question. The programming doesn't work for me ... when I go to press the button I want to program + remote, the red light just slow-flashes until it goes solid green ("I give up" mode?). Any idea why? This is a brand spankin' new Chamerlain garage door.... help if you can.

So is that because the Homelink on my vehicle is too old, and not compatible with the new signaling tech in the new remotes/openers?

Yes, you're probably dealing with rolling code openers vs non-rolling code. I had to run that adapter for my older vehicles (like my RX8) when I installed a new Chamberlain garage opener in 2017.

Check to see if your opener has wifi built in. I ran into this issue but decided to setup the built in wifi instead and just use my phone now.
