Getting an RX8 in AUS as a P-Plater
Getting an RX8 in AUS as a P-Plater
i need some help if anyone has some advice
i have been wanting to get an RX8 for years, it is one of my favourite cars ever.
The problem im having now is i have an opportunity to get one, but i am in Australia and on my provisional licence (p-plates) and i don't know if anyone will insure the car under my name
I'm aware its already going to be very expensive, but as this point in time a couple of the places i have check out have pretty much straight up said no, any help would be appreciated

Glad you rate the RX8 as it is an amazing sports car. I think i mentioned in a different thread a while ago that the insurance companies are onto the cost of fixing these now old high tech cars. So now you will have to pay to play.
I moved away from the regular car insurance companies as they were decreasing the value while increasing premiums. They obviously dont want to insure our cars. I and many others use Shannon's as they really know the different cars other than the i30 or similar. Unfortunately as a P Plater you are in their 'extreme risk' category and you will pay a lot of $$ for premium or excess or both. I know this as I have been the RX play area for many yrs.
Follow your dreams but hope you have a fat wallet!
