4600 RPM hiccup
4600 RPM hiccup
Howdy, after checking my spark plugs and replacing coils and wires I’m still getting a hiccup at about 4600 RPM high load. Could this be anything other than a miss? It happens about 5 to 10% of the time. And it’s just a little loss of power like I let my foot off the gas pedal for a moment.
is it likely that an exhaust leak causes O2 sensor problems which I do have a code for

You know you can keep all your questions to one thread
If it's always at 4600, my guess would be a sticky SSV. It actually kicks in at 3750 but it's stuck or sticky, you'd really start to feel it in the 4000s. There is a code for that

The intake valves are closed at idle so doubt it, but for any unusual noise what you want to do is localize where it's coming from. That can't really be done over the internet or with a video, you have to be with the car.
