Stock bose speaker system

Hi everyone. I've done some searching, but am still looking for an answer. My front door bose speakers, (not tweeters) don't work. I don't think it's the amps, but rather the wiring to the head unit. I have an alpine radio with bose. I have the right wiring harness. Does anyone have the correct wiring diagram for this application? The alpine radio is one double-din, with Sirius xm and carplay/android auto. ILX-W650 is the model. Also, I have a metra wiring kit. If anyone can answer if this could be the problem, and point me in the right direction to a wiring diagram, that would be cool. Thanks

Chad

Yo Chad, what's up man!
Sounds like you've got a bit of a headache with those front door speakers. Been there, done that - it's a pain in the *** when your audio setup isn't working right.
First off, good call on checking the wiring to the head unit. That's often the culprit with these kinds of issues. Since you've got the right harness, it's probably not that, but it's worth double-checking all the connections just to be sure.
For the wiring diagram, have you tried hitting up Alpine's website? They usually have pretty decent documentation for their units. If not, maybe try searching for "ILX-W650 wiring diagram" on some car audio forums. Those guys often have the hookup on that kind of info.
As for the Metra wiring kit, I've used those before and they're usually pretty solid. But hey, sometimes you get a dud. It might be worth swapping it out just to rule that out as the problem.
One other thing to check - make sure your fade and balance settings on the head unit aren't messed up. Sometimes that can make it seem like speakers aren't working when they're just not getting any signal. If all else fails, you might want to consider taking it to a car audio shop. They've got the tools to properly diagnose what's going on.
Good luck, bro! Let us know how it goes. Maybe post some pics of your setup when you get it sorted - always cool to see what other people are rocking in their rides.

Regards
David :-)

Are you using the factory Bose speakers with an aftermarket head unit? If so, it's likely that the tweeters were wired in as the front speakers, as you would have to replace the front door speaker with aftermarket speakers. I'm not sure they would work with an aftermarket head unit.
