Hi, I'm new to the San Diego area and I'm looking to get a compression test done. All I can find, without going up to LA, are the dealerships; are any of them (Hello Mazda of San Diego, Team Mazda of El Cajon, Westcott Mazda, Bob Baker Mazda and Mazda of Escondido) recommended? Any RX8 compression tester owners willing to do a compression test for my 8?

More generally, what are my options in San Diego for RX8 repairs and such? I've seen Jim's Rotary Shop brought up in a thread as recently as 2018 but don't haven't gotten a hold of him with the provided contact information. John Hines Mazda was also mentioned but that's closed. Thanks in advance

 

Bob Baker Mazda in Carlsbad has a tech who knows rx8's and they can do your compression test no problem.

I owe Jim Hrmoda this review since he turned my 25G paper weight back into its former glory. I have a Mazda RX8 2007 and have been serviced by approximately eight Mazda dealerships across the country. You will get no better service then Jim’s. Give him a ring (619) 402-8147. Jim is detail oriented and passionate about the Mazda. He does what he loves and that is what makes him good at his job.
