Hood Louvers for a k&n typhoon intake

Hi everyone. I am inquiring to see if anyone has hood louvers on their hood to sport a k&n typhoon intake. I was thinking about getting some for my hood. Do the k&n typhoon intakes run fine without them? I thought it would help with the cool air in the engine bay.

your thoughts? Thanks

Many members here will tell you that intake is trash and hurts your engines performance.

For one thing it's not a CAI because it's drawing hot air from the engine bay.

The consensus I get from 10 years here is the intake stock is best for performance, with the AEI CAI the best for sound with good performance.
Not much else is suitable.

"run fine" ... sometimes.
But in no scenario do they produce more power. The stock intake is very good

Hood louver is a great idea when it comes to engine cooling. But the KN intake lacks necessary R&D to not hurt the performance of our car. Even if you are able to pull cool air the MAF still can measure it correctly.

Louvres will help with heat extraction either way. You can fabricate a type of ram air to plug to the k&n through the front end hole, like RB's ram air, to feed it more cool air while moving. Tossing ideas.

If RB is a good alternative I wasn't aware.
I do want a RB catback one day.
