In some of the blues the air dams are not painted and i want one that is. Are the dealers jipping me or is there a certain option that comes with it painted instead of ugly plastic black. here are some examples

The one u want is a rx-8 with appearence package.That package comes with a front lip,side flares,rear flares.

 

Front air dam is the difference.

As Redlinin 8 mentioned - it is part of the appearance package

Not a cheap option either, as I recall... about $1K.

 

I got the air dam without the appearance package from my dealer so that is sometjing you may want to think about.

 

There is no other information - the painted air dam is part of the appearance package option. Either order the optional appearance package with your car or order the optional air dam separately - either way you have to pay extra to get the painted air dam.

hey now, I don't have the appearance package and I'm glad I don't. I think the flares and the front air dam are ugly. Car doesn't look as sleek with that stuff on there.

 

I also don't like the accents. I do like the mazdaspeed front bumper, though. Accents look like some kind of hitch or something.
