Im in the process of putting my engine back together and there’s two parts i need assistance with.
Firstly, from the sump, is this just a baffle of some sort?

Secondly - this fuel system part - i don’t know where it goes / what it does , any assistance?

Yes, that is a baffle in the sump. It's not 100% necessary, but it should be there.
