Hi,

I have deleted my SMOG pump and masked DTCs w/Mazdaedit.

I have completed the OBDII monitor readiness drive cycles multiple times.

The monitor for secondary air is still INC.

In fact, I have temporarily disabled ALL DTCs in ALL 3 of the DTC Enable tables in ME.

How can the air pump still be throwing this code?!?

Pretty sure readiness checks are separate from DTCs. DTC are set when something is wrong, readyness checks are not set until something is confirmed working. No pump, no confirmation...

Actually, i have accomplished this on my other '8 with great ease...not sure why this one is being stubborn.
The thing i expected to be tough is the cat (because there isn't one), but it's monitor was ready after only 1 drive cycle.

I think i may have the remedy now but won't know till the engine cools completely...

Well anyway, I was just about to throw in the towel and reconnect the air pump and as I was grumbling to myself..."stupid f*#*ing pump...just watch, you'll go to the trouble of reconnecting it and the damn thing probably won't even work. (grumble, grumble)...prolly gonna have to go buy some damn part like a fu....OH, SH*T!" (drop everything & RUN to check the fuse box...) Sure enough!
