I have a DTC P3700 on my 8 and I can’t get any info on it. Does anyone know what it is?

what reader are you using because there is nothing over P25xx on the 2004-2008 RX8 that I’m aware of.

P0661 will occasionally occur if you have a failing SSV solenoid.

TeamRX8 is correct - here's the higher codes list from the manual P2504 is

the highest number.

thank you. It’s odd that i got that p3700 all the others are known to me. The car is acting like crap right now and most of the codes was me troubleshooting some things. Ssv solenoids are bad and I know I’ll have to change them. It’s misfiring like crazy on rotor 1. New coils plugs, wires, maf and everything possible. All that’s left is ess sensor and changing o2 again.

Clear the codes and see what comes back.

It could be electrical problems, see if you battery terminals are snug and all visible grounds are clean.
Just to confirm, based on those codes, your car had the rear O2 sensor and air pump removed or disabled.. which sounds like someone removed the cat. Is that the case?

If the cat is still there, I would check it for internal damage. It might be causing your misfires.

+1

I can confidently say that the P3700 is not a code that the Rx8 has, but typically codes like that pop up in torque due to OBD-communication/electrical gremlins.

yea this car is punching me left and right. Nothing I do stops the weird misfires even now with a full tune up and maf, ess and o2. plus new injectors.

might just have to trace wiring or see if the ECU is bad.
