I have an extra set of R3 wheels that I am going to get powdercoated the Spirit Bronze. Has anyone already done the research to determine the correct bronze color matches? It appears the center caps are black. So that is not an issue. I have pics of the wheels, I will be taking to the powdercoater, but what about the color?
I've just sent my R3 wheels off to be powder coated in Phantom Bronze (ermerald) with Mirror Clear finish; unfortunately the (prism) Triple Bronze wasn't readily available near me. I'll be sure to post mine here when they are done and we can compare how they turn out!
Another question though; your black center caps - did you buy those, or paint the charcoal grey ones? From googling it appears that there are plenty of Mazda gloss black center caps that look like this, but I haven't been able to validate any part #'s with the R3 wheels to confirm fitment before I order anything, so unsure if those will actually fit or not. If you painted them, I'd be curious to learn your method, and if you bought them, I'd love to know where you got them, or at least the part #!
Love that Triple Bronze. So is the brand "Prism" ?
I was going to go with a silver powdercoat, but you may have changed my mind
Do you have a code number by any chance ?

I'm happy with how my powdercoating turned out! Looks pretty dark in the shade, but REALLY light up in the sunlight and just pop. Ended up spray painting (with gloss black and clear) the charcoal center caps and re-using them, turned out great too.
Had my OEM rims powder coated in Triple Bronze. Darker than i imagined they would be. Pop in bright sunlight though. Limitations of the Iphone camera show the full car photo darker than they actually are, and the wheel pic brighter than they are. Reality is somewhere in between. Oh well !
