i have the 20 b, this is my 3rd one, and i have the rx 8, sub frame out, just seeing if someone makes any parts for it so i dont have to make everything.

Using Haltech 2500, paddle shift, sequential box, turbo. looks like if i mount the engine a inch off to the driver side it will make the turbo an header some more room, move the sway bar spaced out, and drop the steering tilt forward and it looks pretty close.

any help would be appreciated.

You're going to have to lengthen the subframe for sure
Promaz makes a cross member and mount
Will probably have to remove the accessory bar (most do anyway)
A high mount turbo (like what most RX8's use) would be simpler than redoing the tunnel, and shifting the whole drive train. If you have the engine, then most of the expense is done.
All the oiling and cooling systems will still have to be custom / upgraded to handle the additional heat
All the normal things with a larger than stock motor on any any swap into anything. If this is your 3rd one, then you should know all the smaller details, so I'll avoid going into depth.

20 b in rx8

I didnt know i could get a sub frame, but i want this done before summer, this is the first RX8 im putting the 20 B, My first car when I graduated HS, was a RX 2, been messing with rotaries since. Here is my last car, called a SLC kit car made up by Detroit, 5-100 in 7 seconds, sequential box, did 202 out at Fontana at Sevenstock, just a street car tho, daily driver, it was fun. Also for a customer putting one in a 1977 Ferrari 308, what a project, motor supplied by customer, finally got it hooked up an running, and we think it has a bad seal, tho it was brand new rebuild when he broght it to me.

thanks for your help

Am i missing something, i was just going to make a plate to go from the original mounting holes to the 20 b motor mount. I can move the rack forward a little to miss the pan, and there is still 11" to the inside of the hood mt this way. What am i missing? Your expertise is much appreciated, your car is bad ***.

Wow that's awesome you had a rotary powered SLC and even brought it out to a 7stock. I always thought that'd be a very cool ride to have / enjoy.

Sounds like you've got just about everything you need. Can't wait to see your se3p progress, best of luck to you in your projects

20 b mounting.

here is what i come up with, still lower then stock mounts, seems like ill have enough room, got to grind a corner on the steering mount.

the SLC was fun car, sequential mendeola, in it, 2500 lbs, Nelson an Lucky 7 helped me on tuning.

when i took it to lucky 7, those guys were really a good bunch, they let me put my car in there booth at seven stock, Louis ran my car when it was on the track with the factory mazda team only out there, i was following the 787, we were on the rev limiter 10000 all the way down the straight from the start finish line, the road course, i got tossed arund like a basket ball in the pasagner seat, this was just a street car i drove aorund here.

What kind of tranny did you use in your 9 second car?

Im running a 6 xd in his car, both manual shifter an paddle sequential box. this is just a street car.

20 b in rx8

Here is what i came up with the mounting the motor in a street car rx8. Using a quicktime bellhousing, 6xd tranny, spec clutch. This also clears the power steering, moved the sway bar links to the other side of the A arms, and made the mounting blocks. Your thoughts?
