Brand new RX8, made by MG?

I stumbled upon this by accident. I was bored, was looking for some fresh RX8 youtube videos, and i found this:

I thought it was one of those fake clips where the title and image is a lie just to make more views on the video.
A quick google search proved me wrong. I really don't know what to say about this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roewe_RX8

On one side i get it, it's a chinese market, so there are many replica or copy cars there on sale.
Some are made in secret, others are made in partnership with the original manufacturer.
But this, this is just utterly insulting. They could have called it the TX8 or HX8, that would fit an SUV.
What are your thoughts dear real RX8 owners?

Funnily enough, I actually participate in Chinese car chats, and this is something I had to clarify with people. Once I got to know the regulars, they know I have the cool one.

Anyway, not sure if you are getting so upset.

When people talk about GTR, you have to distinguish between the Nissan and Mercedes ones.

Some Mazda 3 owners call their cars M3, which upsets the BMW M3 owners.

It's not like Mazda RX-8 was widely available in China anyway. Mazda sold them there more for the branding than anything.

I know Roewe's other SUVs are all RXs(probably just stands for Roewe XOver) so the RX thing kinda makes sense for them.

This thing pre-dates the new BMW X5 and X7, so I guess it's appropriate to say that BMW's SUVs look like carbon copies of the Roewe's RX8 rear. It doesn't look bad at all - inside and out.

It reminds me of the new Honda Passport. Honda is copying cars too.
