Rx8 Camber Curve with different Caster ratio

As basic rule thumb for suspension geometry, more caster will have better camber gain !!! But how much seen to be no one did a recording

So I took the time to record the different caster affect on dynamic camber gain

Here are my recording, same car same shop same wheel , in 2mo period only thing different is knuckle offset bushing thus the setting on right hand side have more static camber

First number from top is
Caster 4.95
7.67
camber -1.69
-2.39

toe 0
0

With turn caster 4.95 , dynamic camber change -1.69 to -2.59 that is around -1 camber of dynamic gain

0

With turn caster 7.67, dynamic camber change from -2.39 to -3.66 that is around -1.27 camber of dynamic gain

Even the the one with more caster have a little less turn ( kinda da lazy out , after spend whole day work on car ) but u guys should get idea

As u can see more caster do prove more dynamic camber gain at turn !!!!

Just waiting to see how long until there's a debate about the relative merits of dynamic vs static camber.

It’s not really that simple as there are other dynamic factors involved that aren’t going to be replicated on a static alignment stand. Not really a discussion I’m interested in having.

Then don't have it.

Just for the record... you do realize you're not REQUIRED to comment in every thread you see, right?

I’m not sure why you’re having or trying to make some kind of personal issue over it, which I already said I didn’t want to get into it other than pointing out to others who may not be aware that there’s more to it than that. I’m not required, but like plenty of other people including the person who liked your post; I participate and comment at my own will.

You do understand that you have the control to block my comments from appearing when you’re logged in, right? Nobody is forcing you to be here either. Just the same, if there’s anything I can do to help you out just let me know. None of this is personal to me, but that’s your choice too.

So at the risk of triggering someone else, let me just throw out that there are a bunch of people on the internet proposing that you can’t have too much caster on a power steering equipped car and there’s no negative to it. Those people are just mimicking something they read or heard somewhere and don’t know what they’re talking about.

which again I’m not looking to debate/argue/bang my head on the wall trying to convince anyone with a drawn out discussion. Which doesn’t mean anything other than you might have to use your own cognitive reasoning, research it on your own, come to an understanding that there are other factors like bump steer etc, how or why dynamic as a variable may or may not produce positive end results, and so on.

or you can have meltdown based on a false premise within your own mind and all the positive benefits it will produce
