I would like to start out by apologizing if this has been asked/discussed before, but upon searching I got so much crap in my results it's not even funny. Any thread that had word accessport and any thread that had the word throttle and if I search for throttle only I get a bunch of throttle issue threads.... So.... My questions are....

1. Does anybody have a good throttle map / method to update map for better throttle response?

2. Should I mess with/change my APV Open RPM?

3. What does changing SSV and VDI do? Does it have anything to do with APV?

Below is what I have done so far, feel free to advise me of any other mods or any changes to my current mods, but mainly looking for the throttle map and APV/SSV/VDI suggestions/explanation.

So far my map (I don't want to call it tune yet... I still haven't started tinkering with fuel/timing) and a big THANKS to FattiMotorWorks for their list of STAGE 1 mods.)

1. Dwell increased 15% for D585 coils
2. Fans set to 85c / 90c
3. No cat, so turned off P0037 CEL
4. OMP increased by 7%
5. Idle raised to 950 RPM
6. Warm up threshold increased to 57c
7. Warm up rev limiter lowered to 3500 RPM
8. Rev limited raised to 8000 RPM
9. SSV Open RPM set to 3300 RPM instead of 3000 RPM (not sure what this does)
10. VFAD set to 8000 RPM (I have a CAI and VFAD removed)
11. Speed limiter raised to 322KMH (I know I will never reach this, but just to remove it)

i have maps from kane from the forums and dave from speed1 on one of my laptops. but the tunes are for boosted cars. what year is your rx8, because 04-05 have different map scales from 06-07. mine is an 07 so ive been copying what i can from the maps i have. but ignition is a work in progress.

Still trying to figure out how to make my throttle more responsive. AccessTUNER Race has 4 duty cycle maps (A thru D) and 1 main duty cycle (set to 84)

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!













Should I just raise the maps by a few integers?
