I got the Fuel Pump Pipe recall letter on July 2017, as most of you guys got as well, for the 2004-2008 RX-8. Ordered the parts from dealership, and performing this recall today at Mazda of Richmond Hill. Here is a photo of the parts, for reference.

I performed the Fuel Pump O-ring recall before, but they have the O-rings again in this kit.

 

was it a completely new pump assembly, or partial pump assembly. Question has been asked in another thread on the recall.

 

The invoice I got after the service, have the following listed:

Fuel pump filter body kit (N3Y1-13-ZE0C)
Pump ring set (F1Y1-42-A1X)
Fuel pump ring gasket (BN8F-42-166)

Not sure is it completely new pump assembly or partial.

They need almost a whole day to work on it, (dropped off at 8:15am, done around 5pm), and prefer less than 1/4 tank of gas

 

i also have the recall notice but i'm reluctant to go as i'm running Walbro pump. makes no sense for me if they are replacing the pump. i thought it was the tension ring and a hose part or something,.... can anyone clarify this?
