Well I got wait 30 days to give RX-8 fan a first chance to buy my race motor... kinda sad but I guess admin have reasons and I can understand.

Here the deal:I recently acquired a Fullpotential Super lite challenge race truck. These used to race in Lucas oil offroad series (class was suspended in 2012, I think). I am having to change the motor since desert racing promoters I plan to race with (BITD, SCORE...) don't know how to classify the engine (none of the classes allowing use except Trophy truck and unlimited buggy – I'd get my "A" kicked going up against them big boys), so I am not going to use it for my build.


Since the the engine failed to build full compression (only 60, but with all lobes the same) I have torn it apart. The culprit seems to have been sticky apex seals as the engine was all "gooped up". No seals were broken or missing, all irons show normal wear (less than .005 – smallest feeler I have) and the rotors are nice and smooth (no chatter or scuffs).
